Water Efficient Immersion Wort Chiller (25' x 3/8" With Brass Fittings)

You can save water during the cooling process with this water efficient chiller with direct connect fittings for garden hoses. This coil has an inner water mixer that causes the cooling water to turbulate as it travels through the coil. This reduces the laminar flow found in standard chillers where only the outer water is cooled as it moves through the coil. The result is a 40% reduction in water, and faster cooling, when compared with our standard chillers.

Since heat rises and other wort chillers on the market have all the coils on the bottom, they actually never cool unless you stir your wort. The problem with stirring is that you mix up all your trub/sediment and you also risk airborne contamination. Our chillers cool fast and allow you to keep the lid on your kettle during the critical cooling period.

SPECS
  • Approx. 10" diameter
  • 8" to the top coil
  • 15" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.
  • 25' of 3/8" copper tubing with brass connection fittings for garden hose.
  • This size chiller is ideal for our 8 Gallon Heavy Duty Kettles!

Are Copper Wort Chillers safe to put in boiling wort?

Yes! Did you know there is zinc in copper? Zinc is an essential nutrient source for yeast to consume as they grow and multiply. The heat helps extract small amount of zinc found in copper. It's a win/win for your fermentation and for you as a brewer.

Prevent burns from Wort Chillers!

Connect your "In" and "Out" hoses to your Wort Chiller BEFORE adding the Wort Chiller to your boiling wort. If you place a previously used Wort Chiller into a boiling kettle the water trapped in the copper from the last use will turn to steam and possibly spit out of the chiller. It is also very difficult and dangerous to connect hoses to an already hot wort chiller.

Using Star San to condition your stainless and copper

Stainless steel discolored? Copper looking used, and starting to lose its shine? Take a little raw Star San (not mixed with any water) and apply it to the copper or stainless with a scrub pad (CE27) or a rag, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it off, and re-apply if necessary (although it usually isn't!) This will help keep your stainless conditioned, and will make your copper look brand new again.
