Immersion Wort Chiller (50' x 1/2" w/ Brass Fittings)

This larger version of BrewMaster's Immersion Chiller is perfect for cutting the chilling time down on your 10 gallon batches of beer. It is made of 50 feet of ½ inch copper tubing with brass fittings for garden hoses on either end for easy access to your water supply. It has a bend at the top to fit over the lip of a kettle, and fits well in a variety of kettle sizes. You can tell that this immersion chiller is truly built to last by looking at its weight and craftsmanship. It is heavy and sturdy with brass--not plastic--fittings. You will be able to rely on this quality, time-saving chiller for years to come.

  • Approx. 10"" diameter, 13"" to the top coil, 24"" to the bend to go over the lip of the kettle.

Are Copper Wort Chillers safe to put in boiling wort?

Yes! Did you know there is zinc in copper? Zinc is an essential nutrient source for yeast to consume as they grow and multiply. The heat helps extract small amount of zinc found in copper. It's a win/win for your fermentation and for you as a brewer.

Prevent burns from Wort Chillers!

Connect your "In" and "Out" hoses to your Wort Chiller BEFORE adding the Wort Chiller to your boiling wort. If you place a previously used Wort Chiller into a boiling kettle the water trapped in the copper from the last use will turn to steam and possibly spit out of the chiller. It is also very difficult and dangerous to connect hoses to an already hot wort chiller.

Using Star San to condition your stainless and copper

Stainless steel discolored? Copper looking used, and starting to lose its shine? Take a little raw Star San (not mixed with any water) and apply it to the copper or stainless with a scrub pad (CE27) or a rag, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse it off, and re-apply if necessary (although it usually isn't!) This will help keep your stainless conditioned, and will make your copper look brand new again.
